Day 8 - Jerusalem

Today we got to sleep in a little bit later than normal, which was great. We got up around 9 and had breakfast in the restaurant in the hotel (we usually do this - there is an assortment of things to choose from - today I had pudding, a granola bar, cheese, and a pastry. After this, we journeyed to the basement to meet in a BOMB SHELTER (don't worry - no danger. Its just the only place that they had available). This bomb shelter also serves as a synagogue. We had devotions together and had a time of worship before our speaker came to talk to us. His name is Dmitry Radyshevsky. He authored the book "Universal Zionism." He talked to us on a variety of topics concerning Israel and foreign powers, and how Israel's influence, and our influence, is crucial. A couple of key points/thoughts he made were as folows.

A bomb is made when elements are tightly compacted together in a small space. If these elements are scattered about, little damage will be done. Its when they are packed together that they cuase a huge explosion. In the same way, the Jews might have been weak in exile, but gathered under one country, they should be powerful working together.

If we had 22 Jewish states come down on a small Arab state trying to invade, the UN would have a fit and lay off. Heaven forbid things were reversed. 2/3 of the UN's resolutions condemn Israel.

There have been 3 attempted genocides of the Jews. The first was in Egypt, when Pharaoh ordered the killing of sins as he accused the Israelis of treason and trying to overthrow him. The second was in Bethlehem, when Herod believed lies that all nations would obey the Jews and their God over him, so he came up with a "final solution" and boys younger than 2 were put to death. The third was the Holocaust, where Hitler inspired an entire nation to view Jews as if they weren't even human, and exterminated over 6 million of them in what he called his "final solution." In 1953, Stalin had a plan to exterminate the Jews and send them to Siberia, but he died a week before that could be carried out, and it just so happened that he died on the festival of PURIM, the celebration of when Esther was successful in saving the Jews from Hamaan's plan to exterminate them.

Globalism is our method with dealing with the current "situation" We believe profit will defeat prophet. This is simply not the case. Radical Muslims are ideological and post life delusional. They hope the world will acknowledge Islam - thru force, when necessarhy. Jewish eschatology is that all nations will be at peace and understand the ways of the Bible. Christian eschatology is that all nations accept Jesus and we have world peace. Muslim eschatology is that all nations accept POLITICAL rule of Islam. They seek total world domination. And I'm not exaggerating. It says in the Qu'ran that once a nation comes under Islamic rule, it must remain that way. The Palestinians don't want land - they were bombing the Israelis in 1933 with huge riots - years before Israel even became a nation. They also show they are not interested in land - they rejected a 2 state plan in 2000 which gave them almost half the land of Israel (which is about as big as the state of NEW JERSEY!). These Muslims cannot be reasoned with, and they're not interested in the mundane monetary world. Secular Globalism, therefore, will not defeat Islam.

Two things that Islams stand for - religious appartheid, and gender appartheid. This is second class treatment of women and Jews and Christians in the Islamic world. For a healthy society, one needs to almost viewing getting along like a marriage in understanding each other. The Talmud says listen to your wife. If she's short, bow down and listen. The Muslim countries refuse to do this - and we see this segregation and second class citizen treatment. This is simply unacceptable. We need to force institution of monogomous marriage globally, and this will come in favor of equality among women. We need to use sanctions and force to get Islamic countries to comply. Those countries need to allow Christians in their countries and give freedom of religion and not have a state mandated religion. Grassroot movements need to push these. We should demand freedom from Jews, Christians, and women in these countries. Millions of people are waiting to be liberated, and if you don't help, you are being hypocritical as a Christian saying you actually love or care for these people.

Many people take a pacifist approach and saw "we should not fight for the things we hold sacred." THAT IS GARBAGE. We need to protect innocent civilians and destroy leaders if they choose not to surrender. If we didn't, we would be under Hitler to this day. We did our best to save Europe form the Nazis, now will we stop Islam from destorying women, Christians, and Israel?

When an 11 year old Muslim girl was asked about her rights, she responded with, "When I'm a martyr, I'll be in heaven and won't need rights." I asked some of the students who spoke to us after lunch about if all Arabs felt this way, and they said a good majority of them say that they live in PALESTINE, which is currently "Israel." Its crazy. People from Hezbullah said that their next mission is to attack Spain because Spain used to be under Muslim control. It is crazy how these people literally want global political domination.

After this, we went to tour the old city. It was a good time - I didn't take notes and I probably should have. The contruction of the Temple, was really complicated. What the western wall is now was only the bottom portion of the wall - Herod built the second temple on a platform over the mountain. The Christians actually trashed the site though in the 4th century, claiming that the church had replaced the Jews and Israel in all promises that God had had for the Israelites. The temple hasn't been restored since.

Tonight we got together for devotions and discussion. We really got to talking about Islam and what we should be doing. Isaiah 14:1 says "The LORD will have compassion on Jacob; once again he will choose Israel and will settle in their own land. Foreigners will join them, and unite with the house of Jacob." We talked about maybe if trying to help the Jews or Israel was trying to prolong the inevitable. But we CANNOT sit and let unrighteousness reign. THERE IS NO SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE. There is DARKNESS and LIGHT. And it is time the church and INDIVIDUALS step up and do something. Winston Churchill said that when Christians in the countries where the Holocaust was taking place would drive by the concentration camps, they would sing louder in their cars so they didn't have to hear the screams. Its time to turn off the music and look at what's happening in the world. Muslims are rapidly increasing in population all throughout Europe and the European birth rate is declining. The Islamic people are being very strategic in what they are doing. Iran has publically made statements that it wants to take out the US and Israel. Israelis are missle hit with missles from the Gaza Strip EVERY DAY. We need to be praying. We need to stop being silent. Being silent has led to the legalization of gay marriage, prayer taken out of schools, and so much else. It's time to speak up and defend Israel.
